Queensland appoints first privacy commissioner

Queensland’s first Privacy Commissioner has been appointed and will take up the post next month.

Linda Matthews has been the Equal Opportunity Commissioner in South Australia for 14 years.

Her new job is to support the protection of private information held by government agencies.
