Second class-action lawsuit against West Publishing

West Publishing Corp. has been hit with another class action lawsuit over its alleged sale of motor vehicle records for purposes prohibited by the federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act. The firm was hit with another similar class-action lawsuit earlier this month in Illinois. This second one is in federal court in Florida [pdf].

According to Courthouse News, similar class actions were filed against Locateplus Holdings Corp., Choicepoint, and Explore Information Services, in Jefferson City, Mo., federal court.
