South Korea: National Assembly passes ‘world-first’ cloud computing act

DataGuidance reports:

The Korean National Assembly passed, on 3 March 2015, an Act on the Development of Cloud Computing and Protection of Users (‘the Act’). The Act aims to enhance the country’s competitiveness in the industry by allowing private cloud service adoption in the public sector, boost investment in research and build legislation for an adequate protection of cloud users’ data.
