UK: Court gags celebrity affair story to protect children from bullies

Posted on April 20, 2011 by pogowasright.org

A British tabloid has been barred from printing a story about a married celebrity having an affair with a colleague, to protect his children from schoolyard bullies.

The England and Wales Court of Appeal has ruled the man, who remains married to his wife and has two teenage children, has the right to privacy to protect his family and the News of the World cannot publish the story.

Read more in the Canberra Times and in the Daily Mail, and expect to see a lot more coverage of this controversial ruling.
