WhatsApp Is Going To Share Your Personal Data With Facebook And Their Privacy Card Just Took A Massive Hit

WhatsApp will now start giving its parent company Facebook personal information, including some phone numbers that they have mined, and let businesses send promotional messages to users.

WhatsApp has over a billion users and they will be notified to change their privacy policy in case they do not want their information to be shared with Facebook. You can do that by going into Settings > Disable Share My Account Info right now if you have the latest version of WhatsApp. This information will be used by Facebook for targeting ads and if you do not opt in the next 30 days, you will have no choice but to share this information.
