Matt Thacker reports on a case that demonstrates just how low some people will stoop in a political campaign. Emphasis in the excerpt added by me:
The adult daughter of Clark County Commissioner Mike Moore has filed a lawsuit against Citizens for Decency in Government for political mailings sent out prior to the May primary election.
The mailings include a police report from 1985 in which Moore was accused of sexually abusing his daughter, then-2-year-old Amanda. None of the names, including that of the alleged victim, or Social Security numbers or birth dates were redacted from the estimated 8,000 or more police reports mailed to Clark County homes and businesses.
Moore was never arrested or charged as a result of the investigation. In an interview with The Evening News after the mailings went out, Moore denied the allegations, while his ex-wife — Amanda’s mother — maintains the allegations were true.
