Snoopgate: ‘Inquiry commission was intrusion on privacy, snooping was not’

TNN reports:

AHMEDABAD: The woman architect, who was stalked in 2009 by ATS sleuths upon instruction byAmit Shah, told Gujarat high court that the snooping on her was not an intrusion on her privacy, but the inquiry commission was a violation of her fundamental right to privacy.

Justice Paresh Upadhyay scrapped the probe panel according to the request by the architect and her father, Pranlal Soni. The father-daughter duo contended that the state government should not have appointed the Justice Sugnya Bhatt commission merely on the din created by the so-called custodians of her dignity and due to political pressure. In fact, the commission should be scrapped on her objection because her entire family faces problems due to this inquiry.
