Over the past few years, there have been many warnings to parents about the need to check your children’s credit report – to find out if one exists when it shouldn’t – and to take steps to protect your children from identity theft. If you don’t take steps, criminals can be misusing your children’s identity information for years and it will make it harder for you to straighten out your child’s records when they turn 18.
