Would you know if your child has been a victim of ID theft for the past 3 years?

Over the past few years, there have been many warnings to parents about the need to check your children’s credit report – to find out if one exists when it shouldn’t – and to take steps to protect your children from identity theft.  If you don’t take steps, criminals can be misusing your children’s identity information for years and it will make it harder for you to straighten out your child’s records when they turn 18.

I haven’t continued to post such warning articles, but one headline caught my eye this morning:

Average Age Of Child Identity Theft Victim: 12
